Soprano Rebecca Leistikow, known for her clarity of line and spirited coloratura, has appeared most recently in the role of Josephine in HMS Pinafore and Little Red Riding Hood in Grant Cooper’s Boyz in the Wood with West Virginia Symphony. Other recent operatic roles include Quiteria in Don Quixote at the Wedding of Comacho, as Gretel in Hansel and Gretel, Serpetta in La Finta Giardiniera, Galatea in Acis and Galatea, and Amahl in Amahl and the Night Visitors.

Concert highlights include soprano soloist in Handel’s Messiah with the Cayuga Chamber Orchestra, Bach’s ‘Coffee Cantata’ with Music’s Recreation, Bach’s Cantata BWV 82: ‘Ich Habe Genug’ at St. Matthew’s Concert Series (Syracuse, NY), ‘All Gershwin’ (First Friday Series, Ithaca, NY), ‘Music from Shakespeare’s Time’ with Elizabethan Conversation, and Max Buckholtz’s ‘Cyrus the Fleabag’ with The Onondaga Orchestra. Past concert highlights include Maine Public Radio’s “Live at Eleven” series, the 2007 Boston Early Music Festival, and countless concerts touring with the ensemble Music for Awhile.
